We are Playground Planners. A team of professional playground consultants with over 40 years combined experience in helping people like you help children have fun. We teamed up over the last decade, combining all our backgrounds to make the best team possible. Together, we have completed the CSA course, accessibility awareness programs, and park practitioner course. As a team, we bring an incomparable dedication to quality, customer service, creativity, and enthusiasm to every project we undertake. Our goal is your complete satisfaction and we won't rest until you and your playgoers are thrilled with our effort.
Maryanne Swinimer
Owner, Sales
Maryanne has been in the playground industry for over 40 years. Throughout her career she has worked in design, project coordination, scheduling, consulting, and she is the proud owner of Playground Planners. Maryanne is a licensed CSA Certified Inspector, a licensed Playground Practitioner and Accessibility Awareness Practitioner. She brings an incomparable dedication to quality, customer service, creativity and enthusiasm to every project she undertakes. Maryanne has worked with many daycares, schools and municipalities across Eastern Ontario and uses her abundance of experience and knowledge to create visually stunning and engaging designs that are also fun, accessible and inclusive for all.
We are dedicated to providing safe play balanced with exciting challenges for children of all ages and abilities. Our equipment is CSA approved, tested, and warranted.
We also offer green products that are recycled, recyclable, and safe for our environment - and children. Our manufacturers are focused on attaining Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification.
All of our equipment is modular and allows flexibility in design and price range. We are constantly introducing innovative new products
We have designed and installed hundreds of playground, spray parks, sporting venues, and park furnishing sites throughout Eastern Ontario. As a one-stop-shop for anything you could possibly imagine, we are proud of our track record of success in delivering on our promise of quality to all our customers. Shannon Swinimer
Sales, Customer Service
Shannon has been with Playground Planners since 2009 and has worked hard to master the intricacies of the playground industry. Shannon is a licensed CSA Certified Inspector and Accessibility Awareness Practitioner. Shannon began her career in the playground industry working behind the scenes at Playground Planners. During that time she gained ample technical knowledge in our wide catalogue of products, as well as engineering, design, and project coordination. In 2020, Shannon transitioned to a sales role where she uses that unique technical experience and knowledge to educate and serve our customers better. Shannon is always happy and willing to help with any customer service issues, quotes or installation questions. Shannon’s goal is to determine your needs and ensure you are 100% satisfied.
Courtney White
Bookkeeper, Office & Social Media Manager
Courtney joined Playground Planners in 2020 and has been keenly expanding her knowledge of the playground industry ever since. Although she hadn’t worked in the industry previously, Courtney came with a unique skillset in design, social media, video production and communications having worked in those industries for over 12 years. She uses her past experience to design custom product brochures, manage our website and if you see a beautiful photo or funny video on any of our socials, you have Courtney to thank. Courtney works diligently behind the scenes to keep our office organized and running smoothly, answering phone inquires with a friendly voice, and handling all accounting with an eagle-eye for detail. Although she works primarily behind the scenes she has ample product knowledge and enjoys going to sites to take photos, and occasionally test out, all of our fun recent installs.
Rae Kearney
Project Coordinator, Customer Service, Sales
Rae joined Playground Planners in 2023 after searching the design industry for a job that would bring both her and the end-user lasting joy. With her education in design and 7+ years of previous experience in sales, Rae understands what it takes to provide an impactful product while creating a seamless experience for clients. She is a Canadian Certified Playground Inspector and looks forward to continuing her education in accessible design. Rae has been growing her experience in the playground industry while managing the installation calendars and assisting customers with customer services issues and installation questions. She is dedicated to client education and user satisfaction, and looks forward to working with you to make your playground dreams come true.
